Candle Care
Before Lighting
-
Remove all packaging before use.
-
Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
-
Keep away from drafts, fans, curtains, bedding, paper and other flammable materials.
-
Ensure the candle remains upright while burning.
-
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Wick Care
Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before every burn and remove any wick trimmings, matches or debris from the wax.
A properly maintained wick helps promote:
-
A clean, even burn
-
A safer flame
-
Better fragrance performance
-
Reduced soot and smoke
The First Burn
The first burn helps set the memory of your candle.
For the best performance:
-
Allow the wax to melt as close to the edge of the vessel as possible.
-
This usually takes 2–4 hours, depending on the candle size.
-
Do not burn your candle for longer than 4 hours at a time.
While Burning
-
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
-
Never move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is still liquid.
-
Keep burning candles at least 10cm apart.
-
Extinguish the candle if the flame becomes excessively large, flickers heavily or produces excessive smoke.
-
Discontinue use when approximately 10mm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel.
Extinguishing Your Candle
-
Use a candle snuffer where possible.
-
Avoid blowing forcefully, as hot wax may splatter.
-
Ensure the flame is completely extinguished before leaving the room.
Caring for Your Candle Vessel
Your candle vessel may become hot while burning.
-
Allow it to cool completely before touching or moving.
-
Never use a cracked, chipped or damaged vessel.
-
Never place a hot vessel onto cold or wet surfaces.
