Hi, and welcome to The Gold Snap.

I’m the creator behind the brand, based in Sydney, Australia. Before starting The Gold Snap, I spent years working in the transport industry driving trucks — a career that was fast paced, demanding, and very different from the creative world I’ve now found myself in.

​

Even while working long hours, I always found myself drawn toward creativity, home styling, and the comfort that small details can bring into a space. I’ve always loved how something as simple as lighting a candle can completely change the atmosphere of a room, helping it feel warmer, calmer, and more inviting.

​

What originally started as a creative hobby slowly became something much more meaningful to me. Candle making quickly turned into a genuine passion, not only because I enjoyed the process itself, but because I loved creating products that people could bring into their homes and enjoy during everyday moments — whether that’s relaxing after a long day, enjoying a quiet night in, or creating a cozy atmosphere for family and friends.

The Gold Snap was created from that passion.

Every candle is carefully hand poured using 100% soy wax and premium fragrance oils, with a strong focus on quality, simplicity, and timeless style. I wanted to create candles that not only smell beautiful, but also look elegant within any home décor style. From selecting fragrance combinations to designing labels and packaging, every detail is thoughtfully considered throughout the process.

One of my favourite parts of creating candles is working with fragrance. Scent has a unique way of bringing back memories, creating emotion, and changing the feeling of a space almost instantly. Whether it’s the sweetness of Musk Sticks, the comfort of Vanilla, the freshness of Coconut Lime, or the warmth of Fresh Coffee, every fragrance brings its own experience and personality.

As a small business owner, The Gold Snap has also become a personal creative journey for me. Restarting and growing this business has involved learning new skills, building a brand from the ground up, creating a website, developing packaging and designs, photographing products, and slowly bringing my vision to life step by step. It’s been exciting, challenging, and incredibly rewarding all at the same time.

What means the most is seeing people genuinely connect with the products and support something I’ve created myself. Every order, every follow, every message, and every kind comment genuinely makes a difference and helps support the growth of this small business.

My goal for The Gold Snap is simple — to continue creating products that bring warmth, comfort, and beautiful fragrance into people’s homes while continuing to grow a brand that feels genuine, welcoming, and thoughtfully made.
